Jets make 'exploratory call' about free-agent receiver Terrell Owens

With free-deputy receiver Terrell Owens still looking for a jetty spot next season, the Jets made a "generic, exploratory call," but "nothing is immediate," according to a person with point knowledge of the team's interest plane.
That person requested anonymity because they are not authorized to articulate for Owens or the Jets.
ESPN first reported this morning the Jets had reached out to Owens' agency, Drew Rosenhaus.
The Jets' call was promising just due diligence, a groundwork inquiry to an available entertainer as they did with quarterback JaMarcus Russell earlier this summer.
